  • 2008-2011- PhD student in Forestry Ecology at the Department of Agrobiology and Agro-chemistry  of  Tuscia  University, Italy.
  • April 2012 PhD thesis discussion titled ““Soil carbon cycle and sustainability of organic fertilization in a Mediterranean short rotation woody crop”.

Fellowships and academic position

  • May- August 2008 research stay at Laboratory of Molecular Ecology, University of Baja California, Ensenada, Mexico.
  • 2008-2011 fellowship  of Council of Research in Agriculture (CRA).
  • 2010 travel award of 3 months fellowship from the Italian Soil Science Society (SISS).
  • February-May 2011 PhD internship at Ecology Department, of Lund University, Sweden with Prof. Erland Baath.
  • 2012 award of the German Institute for cultural exchange (DAAD) of 5 months research stay at Hamburg University.
  • 2014 award for best master degree thesis from Arvan s.r.l .
  • 2012-present post-doctoral fellow at Institute of Biometeorology, National Research Council.
  • June 2014 travel award to attend 20th Worl Congress of Soil Science (June 2014, Jeju, Korea) from Italian Soil Science Society (SISS).

Scientific Interests: Temperature Increase, Fertilization, Biochar, Microbial Ecology, Soil function and structure, soil chemistry, ecophysiology, plant and root growth.
