She was born in Florence on 26th January 1974.
•    1998 April: Laurea degree in Forestry at the University of Florence.
•    October 2000: she attended the International course “New approaches to RS-based ecosystem modelling and monitoring. Transformation, integration and application of MODIS sensor data” at the Swiss Federal Research Institute - WSL in Birmensdorf (Switzerland).
•    August 2002: she attended the International course “Remote Sensing of the Earth’s Environment from Terra”, directed by M. D. King (NASA Goddard Space Flight Center), with Y.J. Kaufman (NASA Goddard Space Flight Center) and D. Tanré (Université des Sciences et Techniques de Lille, France).
•    2003-2005: Ph.D. in Forest Ecology at the University of Tuscia.
Since 2000 she collaborates with the Institute of Biometeorology. She works on monitoring and modelling the main fluxes within forest ecosystems by the integrated use of remotely sensed data and bio-geochemical models.
