•    January 1999-July 2000: certification of completion on production management and industrial technology with a specialization in programming and computer networks at the S.S.T.I. (Scuola Superiore in Tecnologie Industriali);
•    March 2001: obtained European license E.C.D.L;
•    November 2001-October 2002: Cisco C.N.A.P. (Cisco Networking Academy Program) course completion along with Cisco C.C.N.A. (Cisco Certified Network Associate) certification;
•    March 2004-January 2005: certificates of completion on multiple Linux courses; Junior System Administrator, System Administration, Network System Administrator and Senior System Administrator at C.S.I.A.F. (Centro Servizi Informatici Ateneo Fiorentino).

•    November 2010 - Current: freelance contract with Istituto di Biometeorologia del C.N.R. di Firenze. Responsible for the design, construction and maintenance of IT infrastructure at Consorzio LaMMA;
•    January 2008 - October 2010: Fixed-term part-time contract with Syracuse University in Florence. Responsible for supporting administrator on computer network and management;
•    January 2010 - October 2010: Freelance part-time contract with T.P.M. S.r.l. Responsible for the assistance in the server and network management and maintenance of Polo Scientifico e Tecnologico di Sesto Fiorentino;
•    January 2009 - December 2009: Part-time contract with Italia Impianti S.r.l. Responsible for server and network management of Polo Scientifico e Tecnologico di Sesto Fiorentino;

IT Knowledge

•    Fluent working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 95, 98, 2000 Professional and Server, XP Home and Professional, 2003 Server, Vista, 2008 Server, 7;
•    Fluent working knowledge of Apple Mac OS 9 and OS X 10.1 – 10.7;
•    Good working knowledge of Linux distributions CentOS, Debian and Ubuntu;
•    Fluent working knowledge of the hardware technology of various types of machines (desktop PCs, workstations, laptops, servers, clusters, hubs, switches and routers) for installations, upgrades and replacement parts;
•    Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, multi-platform email clients, antivirus, anti-spyware, firewall protection and programs for system check;
•    Good working knowledge of virtualization systems such as VMware vSphere Enterprise (installation, configuration, optimization and management of virtual machines on HP Blade servers and Storage S.A.N. with advanced functions of Cloning, Vmotion, Vstorage and D.R.S.) and HP Onboard Administrator (HP Blade servers management through blades installation and configuration of the Storage S.A.N. system with resources allocation);
•    Installation and configuration of the Zimbra Network Edition mailserver with user authentication through Windows Active Directory, server side and client-side management (for both desktop and mobile devices);
•    Experience in handling issues related to the management of H.P.C.
