1999-Degree in Physics at the University of Bologna, Faculty of Physics. Thesis in “Radiative Transfer in cloudy atmosphere: numerical modelling for satellite data interpretation in the visible and infrared channels”.
2006-Ph.D. in “Physical Modelling for environmental protection”, XVII cycle, at the University of Bologna, Dept. of Earth and Geo-Environmental Sciences. Thesis in “Multispectral analysis for precipitation estimation based on the new generation of satellite data: an infrared and microwave blended technique”.

- Microphysical and radiative properties of deep convection systems using next-generation satellites and     numerical modelling
- Multispectral and probabilistic algorithms for precipitation estimation from satellite data merging infrared     and microwave     techniques
- Multispectral algorithms for Sea Surface Temperature estimation using new generation satellite data
- Validation techniques for meteo-oceanographic variables by comparison with heterogeneous data

Teaching and reviewing activities

- 2004, 2006 and 2007 she has held various seminars in Training Courses for developing countries,     organized by IBIMET in collaboration with WMO, UNCCD and UGM
